Where to purchase first class relics of saints?

Check out this interesting answer on Yedda

Yedda – People. Sharing. Knowledge.Relics of saints

The word "saint, or saints" is the word in the King James Bible used to describe believers.  The Catholic Church has set up a system of Sainthoods that does not appear in the Bible. --dc

The basic idea of the Greek for this word is "holiness."  All Christians are saints in that they are positionally "set apart" to God and are experientially being made increasingly "holy" by the Holy Spirit. --(Ref: Zondervan NIV Study Bible).

With that in mind, finding first class relics of saints is no problem, --but why would you want to?  --dc

Do you read the Bible for yourself?

Check out this interesting answer on Yedda

Yedda – People. Sharing. Knowledge.Do you study (Read) the Bible for yourself???????

Absolutely! There is a lot of false doctrine being preached, and books written teaching false doctrine. "Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true." (Acts 17:11). --dc

...Don't forget what Jesus said, also: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.  Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven." (Mat.18:3-4).  --dc

About working hard...

Most people work hard, but most people are not filthy rich.
Many, but not all, get where they are by walking on the backs of others.
Is a student sitting in a college classroom working harder than everyone else?
Who is better than another? Do we not all need one another?
Many seek love in all the wrong ways.
The only true hope for each of us, and for all of us is Jesus Christ.
It is as simple as that. --dc

About the question: "What must I do to be saved?"

Returning to: Openyourmind786:The Issue:

MT 10:22, 24:13, MK 13:13 He that endures to the end will be saved.MK 16:16 He that believes and is baptized will be saved.JN 3:5 Only he that is born of water and Spirit will be saved.AC 16:31 He that believes on the Lord Jesus will be saved.AC 2:21 He that calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved.RO 10:9 He who confesses with his mouth "Jesus is Lord" and believes in his heart that God raised him from the dead will be saved.1JN 4:7 He who loves is born of God (and presumably will be saved.)

These are all true. None of these declarations are contradictory. People should not think they will find correct answers when pasting various scriptures out of context. Everything that is said about a subject is pertinent. Jesus himself often answered with the words, "It is also written." The student must ask himself logical and rational questions, such as: Who is being spoken to? What is the setting and circumstance being addressed? --dc

We stand in relation to salvation in precisely the same way that a cross-country traveler can determine whether he is in New Jersey, Florida, California or some point in between. With a road map, or GPS in his car, the traveler can determine not only the proper route to follow but also the distance he has already traveled and how far he must go to reach his destination.

As the traveler continues on his way from California to Florida, he expects to receive different answers to the same question, "How far is it to Florida?" In California someone answers, "2,310 miles to Florida." In Utah, the answer is, "1,840 miles to Florida." Still a different answer is given in Oklahoma, "960 miles to Florida." The traveler is not disturbed over receiving different answers to his same question, "How far is it to Florida?" The different answers show that at each point he has moved closer to his destination.

In the same way, as a person travels toward salvation, different answers will be given to the same question, "What must I do to be saved?" The answer to this question always depends on just how near the questioner is to salvation. This can be determined only by consulting God's spiritual map, the Bible.

A prayerful study of the Bible impresses all of us with our dire need for salvation through Jesus' blood and our deep craving to draw closer to God.
Many conflicting answers have been given by men to the question
, "What must I do to be saved?" But, the one and only sure answer to this question is revealed by Jesus in the New Testament. Jesus has said, "...no man cometh unto the Father but by me" (John 14:6). --(Last five paragraphs here, Ref: Visualized Bible Study Series, God's Plan for Redeeming Man, written by Jule L. More about: Modern Day Prophets?

I will add 1 Cor. 15:1-2; "1: Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2: By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain."

2 Cor.11:3-4; 13-15  "3: But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
4: For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.....13: For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14: And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15: Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works."

Gal. 1:6-9  "6: I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
7: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
8: But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9: As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed."

Parking Tickets for Christians?

About "Don't be hostile toward men of God," Letter to the Editor, Daily record:

If it's any consolation or solace for those forty men of integrity and humility, who received parking tickets while attending a Bible study in a local restaurant; --just remember what Jesus Christ said while hanging on the cross: "Forgive them, Father, for they know not what they do." --dc

Parking ticket leniency for Christians?

To the Editor:

Ref: Recent letter to the Editor, titled, "Don't be hostile toward men of God."

Perhaps a good study in humility should be the next Bible topic for this group. Sodom and Gomorrah? I don't think so. God is no respecter of persons; see Acts 10:34. "...Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's and unto God the things that are God's." (Mat. 22:21). "If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you?" (Luke 6:32).Think about it: --With this show of un-Christian like pride, who was impressed or reached for the cause of Christ? Are we not all sinners? Expecting special civil treatment, connoting that Christians believe they are better than everyone else, is not what I believe to be the true Christian spirit. But , that's okay...we all make mistakes. God bless. --dc

Joel 2:28 is Old Testament, which has been fulfilled.  Read the beginning of the New Testament book of Hebrews, and there is your answer:

"1: God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2: Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;"   --dc

Bible Contradictions?

Back to: openyourmind786:
The Issue:MT 10:34, LK 12:49-53 Jesus has come to bring a sword, fire, and division--not peace.JN 16:33 Jesus says: "In me you have peace."
The Answer:
MT 10:34 "Think not that I am come to send peace on earth." Christ has to conquer a peace by overcoming the evil that is in the way of peace. Hence, to preach the gospel of purity and peace always arouses the opposition of the evil doer. Evil has to be put down before peace can prevail. Hence, while the great end that Christ proposes is peace, the immediate result of his coming, and of the preaching of the gospel, was opposition and bloodshed.
