"If you believe Jesus is the son of God, how about Adam? Who is the father of him? Who is his mother?

"The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him: "Be": and he was. (Qur'an 3:59)."

My Reply:

1: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2: The same was in the beginning with God.

3: All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4: In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

5: And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

6: There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

7: The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

8: He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

9: That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

10: He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

11: He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

12: But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

13: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

14: And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten
of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
(John 1:1-14).

ADAM (man---human being). The last work in the creation of the world, man was formed in God's own image (Genesis 1:26-27). Adam, the first man, was made of dust and was brought to life by God's breathing into his nostrils the breath of life (Gen.2:7, 6:17; Job 10:8-12). He was given dominion over all the animals of the earth (Gen.1:26-28) and lived in the Garden of Eden (Gen.2:8,15). Through Eve, Adam tested the forbidden fruit of the tree of knowledge and because God foresaw that Adam would eat of the tree of life also and live forever, he expelled the couple from the Garden of Eden (Gen.3:1-24). Adam had three children mentioned by name: Cain, Abel, and Seth and died at the age of 930. Paul mentions Adam as the first man, a living soul in whom all die, and calls Christ the last Adam, a life-giving spirit in whom all are made alive (Romans 5:12-21; 1 Cor.15:22, 45). (ref: The New Analytical Bible, and Dictionary of the Bible, John A. Dickson Publishing Co., Chicago, Revised Edition, 1973).

"Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?

Jesus said unto them,
Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am." (John 8:57-58).

The sonship of Christ occurs in the New Testament nearly fifty times and is expressive of the relation that exists between the Father and the eternal Son (Mat.16:16, 27:43; Mark 1:1; John 3:18). He has all the perfections of God (John 1:1-14, 5:17-25; Philp.2:6). In receiving the commission of the Father, in his mode of operation he is subordinate, but not inferior (John 3:1, 17, 8:42; Galatians 4:4; Hebrews 1:2). It was because he claimed he was the Son of God, that he was charged with blasphemy by the Sanhedrin (Mat.26:63-66; Mark 14:61). At his baptism and transfiguration he was divinely acknowledged as the Son of God (Mat.3:16-17, 17:5).

Jesus, the Son of Man: This title was applied by Christ to himself. In his use of it does not denote that he was merely human and not divine for he frequently declared the latter. He identified himself with man in his human nature and in his sufferings for mankind (Mat.20:28; John 1:14). (ref: The New Analytical Bible, and Dictionary of the Bible, John A. Dickson Publishing Co., Chicago, Revised Edition, 1973).

Rev 1:8,11, 18-19 "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty....... I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last:..... I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter:
"

3: And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

4: And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

5: And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

6: And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

7: He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

8: But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. (Revelation 21:3-8).

12: And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

13: I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

14: Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

15: For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

16: I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

17: And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

18: For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

20: He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

21: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen."
(Rev. 22:12-21). --dc

  1. To Anonymous, I would leave out the profanities. I believe that TRUTH is the only answer. The sword of the Spirit is the Word of God. These poor souls actually believe that they are doing the will of God. Christ told his disciples to go and baptize (save)all nations, teaching them the things Jesus has commanded, --such as loving one another, even your own enemies. There is a war going on in heavenly places, between good and evil. God bless us all. --dc
